I am delighted to be deputy chair for the Advanced General Assembly!
My name is Meimei Zhang Johansen, and I am a Grade 11 student from SCIS Hongqiao. This conference marks my 11th MUN, and my first time chairing. The topic I’ll be focusing on is “Managing the impact of demographic decline in the Baltic states,” a topic that reflects my strong interest in European politics and regional development. This issue invites debates on aging populations, migration, and workforce shortages affect economic stability and long-term governance in a globalized Europe. My advice to delegates is to remember that the smallest actions matter, whether it’s a small alliance or giving main submitter to another delegate. Stay engaged, be diplomatic, and make the most of every opportunity. I look forward to an insightful debate, see you soon!

Hello delegates!

My name is Allison, currently a sophomore at Shanghai American School Puxi, and it is my honor to serve as the President of General Assembly (Advanced) for SUZMUN this year. I have attended over fifteen conferences over the past four years.  
I will be focusing on the topic of “Mediating the conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The failed ceasefires and escalating atrocities in the Sudan conflict indicate the need for mediation frameworks, humanitarian access, and curbs on external arms supplies. Without such efforts, the conflict between the SAF and RSF will continue to devastate civilians, destroy infrastructure, and threaten regional stability.

Kyle Wei

Greetings, delegates of the General Assembly! My name is Kyle Wei, and I am a junior at Shanghai American School (SAS) Pudong. I began my MUN journey in middle school, and over the past few years, I have participated in more than 10 conferences across several cities. This will be my second time chairing.
The topic I will be focusing on is “Mitigating the humanitarian and economic fallout of the Venezuelan migration crisis on Latin American host countries,” a critical humanitarian crisis that has lasted for over a decade. As a phenomenon whose impacts are felt throughout Latin America, this issue is transforming the region and creating significant financial pressure on neighboring countries. Due to its scale, conventional response models require appropriate modification, and focus should be distributed across different affected nations.
