Hello delegates! I am Victor Kubler, and I am eager to serve as your deputy president for SUZMUN XIII! I am currently in Year 10 at the French School of Shanghai. I have attended seven MUN conferences, two of which I was a Student Officer. I will be your go-to chair on the topic of 'Addressing the rise of political extremism and violence fueled by digital platforms in Europe'. Greetings delegates, My name is Kelly Lee and I am a current senior at SAS Puxi. I have been part of MUN since 6th grade, and this year's SUZMUN will mark my 22nd and last high school MUN conference. I will be focusing on the topic of "Mitigating the humanitarian crisis and instability caused by the Boko Haram insurgency". With conflicts continuously arising around the world, the immense scale of harm and destruction from the extensive religious conflict is resulting in large-scale humanitarian crises that require immediate mediation and resolving. As the conflict prolongs and results in thousands of deaths around the region, it is crucial that both adequate short- and long-term solutions are implemented as quickly and effectively as possible in favor of survivors who are suffering from trauma and destruction. Every conference is a great opportunity - take the time to research in depth, understand more about the world we live in, and interact with others that may have similar interests with you. Greetings, delegates! My name is Melonie and I am currently a freshman at SHSID. It is my honor to serve as the Deputy President of the General Assembly (Advanced) for SUZMUN this year. This year’s SUZMUN will be my 11th conference and fourth time chairing. This time, I will be focusing on the topic of reducing illegal arms trade to prevent mass shootings and urban violence in Latin America, resulting increasing violence and consolidation of cartels, two issues that concerns thousands of people’s lives across the region. As the Deputy President, I strongly recommend all delegates to research all three topics beforehand so it will be a lot easier for you to participate in the conference. Moreover, I believe that this conference will be a great chance for all delegates to make friends, improve, and most importantly, to learn.
