Disarmament and International Security
Hello Delegates! My name is Isabella Ly and I am extremely honored to serve as one of the deputy presidents for the General Assembly in the upcoming SUZMUN conference. I am currently in Grade 9 at Suzhou Singapore International School and SUZMUN will mark my second time chairing. For this conference, my topic of focus will be “Enhancing disaster response and resilience to natural and human-caused disasters in the Caribbean.” This issue is of immense relevance and in need of focused attention, due to not only the extreme ramifications on the Caribbean itself, but the global community. This vulnerable region has only become more susceptible in recent years. An increase in climate risk has caused the ability for self resilience to lessen; calling for a global effort toward the issue. I hope that along with my fellow co-chairs we can craft a beginner-friendly, and inviting experience for all delegates. If you have questions as to the upcoming conference, please do not hesitate to reach out - we are here to help and guide you through this process! I look forward to a fruitful debate and drafting inspiring solutions to the issues at hand. See you at the conference!

Hi guys my name is Marcus! I am a Junior at SAS PUXI and this will be my second time chairing and first time as president chair. I will be covering the drug trade issue in Central and South America so if you need any advice or research suggestions, be sure to email me or add me on insta @ marcus_perez_44. I strive to be a chill chair, I understand for many of you guys this might be your first MUN so I will be sure to give tips and correct you guys so hopefully you can all become better delegates. I hope that by the time this conference ends, all you delegates have managed to learn something meaningful. Whether it's about the importance of teamwork or how developing detailed and thorough resolutions will likely succeed in conferences. Finally, I'd advise delegates to participate as much as possible, because we're only giving out a few awards. :)

Hello delegates, My name is Shutong Guan, and I am deeply honored to serve as your Deputy President for the General Assembly 1 at this conference. I am currently a junior at Suzhou Singapore International School (SSIS). MUN may seem intimidating, especially for beginners, but I want to remind you that for many of us, this will be our first conference— including my first conference as a chair! Because I understand the challenges of stepping into a new role, I am committed to fostering a collaborative environment where every delegate will speak, debate, and grow. For this conference, my area of specialization will be "Combating Human Trafficking in Southeast Asia”. This is a critical global issue that requires urgent attention, and I look shutong_guan forward to seeing the innovative and impactful solutions the delegates will come up with. I can’t wait to meet all of you in April, and if there are any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
