My name is Sophia, and I am a senior at SASPX. I will be serving as your President for Security Council at SUZMUN XIV.

The memories I’ve made throughout my MUN journey are truly unforgettable. So much has gone through since my first time approaching the podium, yet I know so much lies ahead of us. I have a strong belief in this year’s conference: I know it will be as benefitting and enjoyable as it could ever be for a delegate.

My topic of specialization will be “Addressing the threat of terrorism in the Sahel region”. Combating terrorism in the Sahel demands more than military force—it requires tackling governance failures, economic marginalization, and cross-border instability. I look forward to seeing how delegates approach this complex issue through research, debate, and collaboration.

Good luck!

Deputy President

Hello, delegates!
My name is Vincent, and I am a junior at Shanghai American School Pudong. I will be serving as your Deputy President for Security Council at SUZMUN XIV. I have participated in 9 conferences, and this would be my third conference chairing.
I will be covering the topic of “Addressing the ongoing civil war in Sudan,” one of the most urgent yet under-addressed international crisis today. This civil war has evolved into a devastating humanitarian emergency, with displacement, civilian targeting, and regional destabilization.
My advice for delegates is to consider the impact of your solutions. Delegates should create their arguments in mandate, precedent, and feasibility, while remaining in mindful of the impact and enforceability of resolutions submitted.
If you need any support or have any questions, feel free to reach out to me by email.
See you guys in April!
