SUZMUN welcomes delegates from various cultural and social backgrounds, our intention is to create an environment where all delegates feel welcomed and safe throughout the conference. Delegates are simulating the bodies of the United Nations and therefore, delegates are expected to maintain a professional attitude and regard other delegates as diplomats and official representatives for the country/organization they have been assigned. Furthermore, delegates are expected to follow not only the SUZMUN/ SSIS code of conduct, but follow the guidelines of the school they are representing.
The SUZMUN Secretariat team and Directors will strictly impose these regulations throughout the conference and failure to adhere the Code of Conduct may result in dismissal from the conference and further action taken by the SSIS and their respective school.

Anti-Harassment Policy
- Any form of harassment such as Racism, Sexism, Homophobia will not be tolerated and any offenders will be dealt immediately and strictly depending on the situation. Delegates engaging in any of these activities inside or outside of committee will be disqualified from the conference and may face further consequences.
- Delegates are reminded to be mindful of their actions throughout the duration of the conference. Physical contact without consent is strictly prohibited and can be punished when reported.
Technology Policy:
- SUZMUN is a no-technology conference meaning technology usage will be prohibited throughout the conference. Delegates may use their devices when writing their resolution papers but will be required to put them away once the lobbying & merging sessions are over. All resolution papers will be printed and Admins will be required to inform any mis-use of technology during debate times to the secretariat team and the respective chairs.
- Any form of AI usage will not be tolerated throughout the conference including but not limited to:
- Chair reports
- Resolution Papers
- Speeches
- The Anti-Harassment policy also applies on the digital world, all SUZMUN participants will be required to be mindful of their actions in committee group chats and emails.
- All Cell phones and ringtones should be silent before entering the committee rooms. If the delegate has a family emergency or any other reason to receive a phone call or send a text message, they may inform the respective admins/ chairs and leave the committee room to answer their phone.
Dress Code:
- All SUZMUN participants will be required to wear western business attire. Delegates wearing informal pieces of clothing or do not follow the SUZMUN dress code can be removed from the committee session and will be required to change to appropriate clothing before re-entering the committee room.
- An exception will be given to delegates with religious commitments.
Outside the Conference:
- All SUZMUN participants are expected to follow the local Suzhou laws outside the campus. Each school will be responsible for their respective delegates.
- Suzhou Singapore International School will provide transportation to hotels/ airports and other locations upon request. Schools however, will be required to pay an additional cost for these services.
